Richard Lennon vice president
What role do you play at kisquared?
I play a lead role in everything our firm does, from advising or presenting to clients, to analyzing data, to designing and writing reports. On any given day, you might find me presenting recommendations to a client’s board, meeting with staff to coordinate the development of a report, proposing quality improvements for how we collect data, or undertaking statistical analyses to answer a client’s research questions.
What do you like about working at kisquared?
It’s inspiring to work with a small group of exceptionally talented and intelligent professionals. Our team has a healthy working relationship that allows us to focus on the goals we set, rather than get tripped up over competing egos. The work I do is always challenging, which is something I need. Clients come to us with unique and pressing questions, which often require inventive yet statistically sound plans for getting the answers to those questions. Added to this, the work is always fast-paced, with multiple projects in different industries all going on at the same time. There’s never a dull moment!
Your best kisquared moment?
No one kisquared moment stands above all others – there are so many worth cherishing. I enjoy when, gathered over lunch with co-workers, we all share a laugh or swap amusing stories. And there’s always humour to be found when, as in any client-centered business, so many personalities from different organizations are brought together to make something happen. There are also times in which I can’t help but feel proud to see a client experience great success or ride out a difficult storm due in part to our guidance.
When let out of the office, I like to...
Stay active through running, swimming, yoga and weights; share good times with family and friends; and take in the city’s fine selection of restaurants, live music and cultural events. I’m also an avid traveller who enjoys equal parts wilderness exploring and urban gallivanting.
